After the holiday festivities have come and gone for another year, it will be time to dispose of the tree, and the city of Henderson will be providing a service to make the task a little bit easier.
The city will be accepting fresh holiday trees at several locations throughout the city. The public can drop them off, and they will then be collected and shredded to make mulch for use in gardens and other landscaping work. This will help to prevent them from ending up in area landfills.
Those who plan on taking their tree to one of the drop-off points are asked to make sure that the stand is removed and there are no hooks, tinsel, lights, or decorations left on it either. This way, they will not cause damage to the mulching equipment. A printing services provider will be able to craft Signs and pop-up Banners that can be used to mark the locations where the trees will be accepted.
The city will be accepting the holiday trees at the collection stations starting on December 26, and they will continue to be open for drop-offs until January 18. The city’s website contains additional information about its tree mulching program, as well as a full list of the street addresses for the eight different disposal location that will be set up throughout the community.
