Henderson prepares to dress to the nines for childrens hospital

Residents of Henderson don’t have to worry about getting all dressed up with nowhere to go this month, because the First Annual Diamond Winter Black Tie Gala is advertising a night of fashion and fun, all in support of a good cause.

The event promises dining and dancing to start off the evening. This will be followed by a performance by the Las Vegas Kings of Comedy. The gala will finish off with local designer Pamela Humphrey, who will give an advanced preview of her latest fashion collection before taking it to New York Fashion Week.

The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Editor-in-Chief of Las Vegas Women’s Magazine Debbie Hall. A cocktail hour will also be held for VIP guests before the gala.

Proceeds from the formal event will go towards two separate charities: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and the Fashion Artist Guild. The money for St. Jude’s is set to aid research into wearable baby technology. The Fashion Artist Guild aims to support on-the-job training and partnering programs for emerging art and fashion students in the area.

The First Annual Diamond Winter Black Tie Gala will be held from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm on January 23 at the Revere Golf Club located at 2600 Hampton Rd, with the VIP cocktail hour starting at 7:00 pm. Tickets cost $55 for members of either the Fashion Artist Guild or St. Jude’s, $75 for people who buy early, and $125 at the door. There are also several sponsorship packages available.
