This December, Henderson will be welcoming the holiday season in high style during its annual Winterfest celebration.
The festivities, which will have a theme of ‘Dazzling Desert Holiday’ will offer lots to see and do for the entire family. Santa will be coming in to be the guest of honor during the tree lighting ceremony, and there will also be a night time light parade that will wind its way through the community.
Along with the holiday lights, there will be performers to keep the crowd entertained, and an assortment of vendors will also be setting up shop, offering locally made crafts for sale. Rides will be set up for the weekend, and bracelet will be available for purchase that will allow the wearer to have unlimited access to the Ferris wheel, train, carousel, toboggan slide, and pony rides that will be on offer for the occasion.
The event is open to people of all ages, and the organizers noted that it has something for everyone. Anyone who would like to participate in the parade is asked to submit an application to the planners. A local printer will be able to supply these, along with any other business Forms needed to help ensure an event like this is a success.
Winterfest will take place on the weekend of December 8 and 9, and the deadline for applications to participate in the parade to be submitted is November 27. More details can be found on the city’s website.
