Local leaders and business owners in Henderson are prepping their regular and digital Business Cards in anticipation of the latest networking breakfast.
Sponsored by the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature presentations and information concerning the ‘Henderson Fiber Now’ project.
Kim Salinas and Kady West, representatives of Cox Business, will be presenting information at the event. Cox recently announced that it will be investing $10.3m over the next five years in order to make the city completely ready for fiber optic connectivity.
The massive boost in potential internet speeds for businesses could prove to be a huge boon for the local economy, allowing entrepreneurs opportunities they have never had before, such as live streaming of internet content to stations in a restaurant, or webcasting entertainment performances.
Salinas and West will provide a look at the improvements being made in Henderson and give a timetable of when and where fiber optic will be available. They will also talk about potential pricing plans, though no firm prices have been decided yet. At the end of the breakfast, attendees will have the chance to talk with the pair and decide which approach would be best for their business.
The Networking Breakfast will be held on May 10 from 7:00 to 9:00 am at Fiesta Henderson, located at 777 W Lake Mead Pkwy. Registration is $28 for Chamber of Commerce members and $48 for nonmembers, and must be done in advance.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
