Manual lymphatic drainage techniques can be used to treat a variety of health conditions, and a Henderson training opportunity in this area is set to welcome local massage therapists.
The Academy of Lymphatic Studies has plans to offer a Manual Lymph Drainage short course, and those who successfully complete the program will receive their certification in the practice. The five days of learning will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn Las Vegas/Henderson, and the registration system for the function will close in late December.
The learners who register for the sessions will learn a variety of methods for the management of edema caused by several different conditions, and these include post-surgical and post-traumatic situations. Pathologies that may benefit from its use, such as fibromyalgia and chronic pain, will be discussed, and there will be a chance for each person to get some hands-on experience with their newly acquired skills.
It was noted that the registration fee for the classes is $995 each. Print shops are often asked to provide bound manuals and other learning materials for continuing education activities, and they will also be able to supply customized items such as Letterheads and certificates of completion.
The deadline to apply for this learning opportunity for massage therapists and other professionals is December 29. The classes will begin on January 8 and run until January 12.
