Financial news and opinion operation 24/7 Wall St. named Henderson one of the nation's top 50 cities to live recently.
The operation ranked Henderson 33 out of 50, making it the only city in Nevada recognized by 24/7 Wall St.
In order to choose and rank its top 50 cities, 24/7 Wall St. reviewed 550 metro areas with populations of 65,000 or more. They considered variables such as crime rates, access to restaurants and entertainment, employment growth, and housing affordability. In the majority of cases, the winning cities, when adjusted for cost of living, surpass the national household income of $53,657. All but nine of the 50 cities also have a median home value that exceeds the average American home's value of $181, 200.
The rankers rated Henderson for its median home value, low crime rate, low average commuter travel time, access to outdoor attractions, and low property tax, which is one of the country’s lowest.
Henderson's tourism bureau could consider incorporating such recognitions in its official Letterheads, Logo Design, visitors' Presentation Folders, or similar Promotional Products.
