Residents in Henderson and the surrounding area are revving their engines for the 17th Annual Super Run Classic Car Show. The event combines food, fun, racing, and more in a four-day celebration.
The show is open to all makes, models, and types of classic vehicles, including stock cars, hot rods, vintage rebuilds, and muscle cars. This year, the city is expecting nearly 1,000 different automobiles to line the streets over the four-day duration.
A number of competitions will also be held during the event, and over 200 trophies, awards, and Promotional Products will be given out, including prizes like Mayor’s Pick, Police Pick, City’s Pick, Lady’s Choice, and a People’s Choice Trophy. A total of $9,400 in cash will also be given away to car show participants via a nightly drawing.
Concerts and other entertainment will take place on Friday and Saturday evenings, including bands Jump, Jive, and Wail, and the Alley Cats. Additionally food and drinks will be available for purchase, as well as children’s activities such as bounce houses.
The Super Run Classic Car Show will be held from today until Sunday (September 22 to 25) at the Henderson Events Plaza, located at 200 S. Water St. The price for admission is free, but there is a cost of $60 per vehicle entered into the show. Anyone interested in visiting the show or registering a car should visit the website.
