Henderson is on the flyway for many species of migrating birds, and local families will be able to be part of a project that will offer them a stop before they continue their journey north.
The whole family is welcome to be part of a maintenance day that will give the city’s Bird Viewing Preserve a little attention, and all help will be appreciated. The work will be completed over the course of three hours, and everyone is advised to bring sunscreen, water, a hat, and closed-toed shoes.
The volunteers will be cutting back and removing invasive species, picking up trash and litter, and engaging in other clean-up jobs. Both work gloves and trash Bags will be supplied to each helper. The day is free to attend, and it will give those who are ages five and up a chance to experience some environmental stewardship.
Activities like this offer a fun way to lend Mother Nature a helping hand. A printer will be able to offer an assortment of inexpensive Promotional Products that provide an inventive and easy way to thank the volunteers of their support.
Henderson’s Bird Preserve Maintenance Day will begin at 8:00 am on Saturday, February 20, and the work will wrap up at 11:00 am. The preserve can be found at 350 East Galleria Drive.
