Henderson residents are asked to salute the efforts of law enforcement officers by lacing up their sneakers to run or walk in an event that will honor these first responders, both those who are currently serving and the fallen.
This timed run will follow a 5km course, while the walk will be 1.5 miles long. The proceeds will be donated to the Henderson Police Department’s Honor Guard Detail, which has been stood up to act during ceremonies and other events held both locally and across the state.
The start time for both the walk and run is 9:00 am, and they will both begin and end in Cornerstone Park. The shorter course will be on pavement, while the 5km route will be on both paved and unpaved paths. Both courses will go around the park’s lake.
