It is said that in the military, no one gets left behind, and this is the spirit behind a Henderson area fundraiser.
A roll, run, and walk is being held in support of veterans who have a spinal cord injury, and everyone is encouraged to lace up their sneakers or make sure their wheelchair or other mobility device is in top shape so they can join in the fun. Handcycles are also welcome, and both the 5K and one-mile races will kick off at the same time. The function has been organized by the Nevada Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
The monies that are raised during the day will be used to support programming for paralyzed vets as well as other members of the state's community of disabled persons. The entry fee is $30, and the function will be held in Bunker’s Park in Las Vegas. Medals with a special graphic design will be presented, and a virtual option may be available for those who would like to participate from wherever they call home.
To thank the companies that have lent support to this fundraiser, the Logo Design of each can be found on the race’s website, which also includes links to register. The runners, walkers, and rollers will hit the course at 9:00 am.
This chance to make life a little bit easier for Nevada’s paralyzed veterans has been planned for April 23. Everyone is invited to come out and help make the function a big success.
