A Henderson location that is a top spot for local birders is about to get a good spring clean. To lighten the load for everyone, all assistance will be welcome.
A spring Maintenance Day is scheduled for Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve, and it will help to make sure the site is ready for the many migrating feathered friends that will be passing by on their way to points north. It is located at 350 East Galleria Drive.
Those who come out to lend a hand will pick up and bag trash and other debris, and Bags will be supplied for this. They will also preserve wildlife habitat and food sources by locating and removing invasive species. Everyone is advised to wear sturdy shoes with closed toes, and hats, work or gardening gloves, sunscreen, and sunglasses are also highly recommended for the volunteers.
This morning of giving the preserve some attention will run for three hours. Those who volunteer with a community or other clean-up may appreciate receiving small Promotional Products to thank them for their hard work or other support.
