Henderson residents have been asked to take some time from their busy daily schedule and attend an event that will ensure that everyone's bowl is filled with nutritious food.
Nevada Clay Guild believes that everyone can play a role in making sure everyone in the community has enough to eat, and to help make this goal a reality, it will be hosting their 20th annual Empty Bowl Benefit. The ceramic bowls will hand made and donated by the artisans, and once they are empty, the guest will be able to take them home to keep.
Those who would like to purchase bowls to give as gifts will be welcome to do so. There will also be an auction of original clay works of art, and everyone will be treated to a hearty helping of hot, bowl-friendly food.
The planners of the fundraiser noted that they appreciate the support of Mission Hills Pottery, Green Valley High School, and also the Nevada Clay Guild. A company that prepares customized Letterheads will be able to craft special certificates that thank those who choose to stand behind and event like this in support of their local community.
The annual fundraiser that helps to make sure everyone has food on their table will be held on March 14. The Green Valley High School cafeteria will be hosting the function.
