Blood drive scheduled for Henderson this fall

Donating blood can be a simple way for someone to give back to their community, and in Henderson, anyone who would like to give “the gift of life” will be able to do so during an upcoming blood donation event.

The organizers of the day noted that even though anyone who is 17 or over, is in general good health, and meets the other criteria can give blood, only one out of every 20 individuals choose to do so. The process of making a donation takes only a short amount of time, and appointments can be booked before someone comes in.

Upon arrival, donors will be greeted and asked to register and answer a few short questions. They will also be checked to make sure they are not anemic, and if everything looks good, they can make their donation. Afterwards, they can rest, enjoy some light refreshments and then go about the rest of their day.

This blood drive will be hosted by Henderson’s Black Mountain Recreation Center, and appointment slots start at 10:00 am. Poster printing techniques can be utilized to craft highly effective marketing materials for this sort of community event.

This opportunity for the public to make a big difference and maybe even save a life will be held on October 29. Anyone who would like to learn more can do so by visiting the United Blood Services website.
