The Summer Concert Series in Fair Lawn is scheduled for July and August in Memorial Park.
The concerts are free and begin at 8:00 pm. Those attending should bring their own lawn chairs and, in the event of bad weather, head to the alternative venue of Memorial Middle School.
This get started on July 8, when Jersey Sound will perform classic rock, R&B and Motown. The Due South Band will perform new country music on July 15. On July 22, The Skyliner Big Band will perform big band music. for concert. The Florian Schantz Band will round off the month with hot jazz on July 29.
On August 5, Sunset Soundz will perform music from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. The North Jersey Concert Band serves up classical and pop music on August 12. On August 19, The Cameos will perform oldies and doo-wop tunes, and August 26 sees Billy Joel tribute act Danny V’s 52nd Street Band on stage.
The concerts are sponsored by the Fair Lawn Borough Council and Recreation Department. Parking is available in certain areas in the park.
