An expansion of the Glen Rock Inn on Rock Road, which will add 66 seats into what was once the Creative Den next door has been approved by the Planning Board.
Residents of nearby Fair Lawn will want to patronize the eatery once the renovations are completed. Local Print shops can be hired to create Flyers and mailers to keep those in the area informed of when such changes will be finished with opening days and hours.
The rear of the former Creative Den will be updated with a new professional kitchen. There will be an opening between the two spaces and a modification of the existing restrooms. This will add 1,620 square feet to the Glen Rock Inn and will occupy what has been an empty storefront. Owner of the Glen Rock Inn, Victor Quinn, said that there will be no major structural changes.
A parking variance of eight spaces has been granted for the Inn. Police Chief Dean Ackermann said that additional parking is available after 4:00 p.m. every day at the Main Line Train Station.
Quinn, his wife, son, and daughter have operated the restaurant for most of the past 40 years. It opened in 1948 and serves food in a family-friendly atmosphere. Lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch are served, and each dish is made from fresh ingredients and cooked and customized to the taste of each guest.
