Sandvik Coromant, headquartered in Fair Lawn, recently announced that it will be continuing its carbon recycling campaign through August and September to benefit the Workshop for Warriors.
For each pound of carbide it receives, Sandvik Coromant will donate $1 to Workshop for Warriors, which trains, certifies, and hunts for jobs in manufacturing for veterans of the armed services of the United States. The initiative kicked off in July, but has now been extended for another two months.
According to Hernán Luis y Prado, president of Workshops for Warriors, last year’s campaign was just one month long but enabled the organization to build a CAD/CAM lab that allowed for three times the capacity to train veterans. A three-month campaign allows for many more veterans to be helped with these donations.
Sandvik Coromant is providing the recycling kits free of charge and will be paying a price per pound for recycled carbide. The company will offer the opportunity for customers to receive a voucher, which they can redeem for products with 50% added on to the value of their recycled materials.
Sandvik supplies tools and tooling solutions to the metalworking industry. Its clients include aerospace, automotive, and energy companies.
Banner printing companies can benefit from a campaign such as this one to inform the community of its benefits to the veterans of our society.
