Old Library Theater plans two productions for end of 2017 season

The Old Library Theater in Fair Lawn, NJ, has two new production planned for the end of its 2017 season. The community theater is now in its 50th season.

The first production, Catch Me If You Can, will run on October 20 21, 27, and 28 at 8 p.m. and on October 22 & 29 at 2 p.m.

The play is about a teen seeking fame and fortune. He has an incredible journey using his boyish charm and forged Checks, posing as a doctor, pilot, and lawyer.
Director Scott Baird has directed several productions for the Old Library Theater. He graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in Theater Studies. Scott has directed productions at Monteville Township High School, Montclair State University, and Dwyer Elementary School.

The second production, The Bridges of Madison Wisconsin, will run on December 8 & 9 at 8. p.m. and December 9 & 10 at 2 p.m. The play is about an Italian woman who has four days alone when her family visits the state fair. A handsome photographer stops at her home for directions, leading to a passionate affair.

The production is directed by Amy Calzone, a director and choreographer for several years in different theaters. She has directed productions for the Old Library Theater and worked for the 4th Wall Theater, Montclair Operetta Club, Florham Players, and Ozark Actor's Theater.
