Free tutoring in Fair Lawn through end of school year

Tutoring for students in grades 5 through 12 has been approved by the Fair Lawn Board of Education through the end of the 2021/22 school year.

A contract with Tutor.com, an affiliate of The Princeton Review, will be providing unlimited one-on-one tutoring for students in the high school and the two middle schools through June.

Nicholas J. Norcia, superintendent of schools, said that the school system is dedicated to providing high levels of learning and continuous improvement to address all educational needs of the students. Norcia added that the goal is to support student success and foster self-confidence. He expressed his thrill in partnering with Tutor.com to enable students to get help after regular school hours.

Students log into Google Classroom, click on the link for Tutor.com, and then answer a few questions about their needs. In less than a minute, students connect in real-time with a tutor. They can also schedule sessions in advance. Directions for students to guide them through such processes are often provided with brochure printing.

Tutor.com offers assistance in over 200 topics, ranging from study skills and pre-algebra to Advanced Placement and calculus. Bilingual instruction in Spanish is also available in many subjects. The platform of Tutor.com provides access to video lessons, practice quizzes, and test prep from The Princeton Review.
