Farms still busy in Bergen County

Many farms and markets in the Fair Lawn area are still in operation during the month of November for fall activities and products.

Demarest Farms in nearby Hillsdale is open seven days a week for picking pumpkins, with hay wagon rides pulled by tractors and friendly farm animals. Having been in Hillsdale since 1886, the Farm also has a country bakery and deli with made-from-scratch salad bar, donuts and soups made daily and home-grown vegetables and fruits.

Abma’s Farm in Wyckoff is a family-owned and operated farm that is 30 acres in size. The Farm is open six days a week and offers over 95 different varieties of produce throughout the year. Free range chickens are raised on the farm and it collects fresh eggs from its resident hens every morning and afternoon, which it sells to customers. It is now taking orders for turkeys for Thanksgiving and for a range of pies.

DePiero’s Country Farm located in Montvale is a 40,000-square-foot facility that offers produce, a deli, butcher and fish market, baked goods made on-site, and plant and garden supplies, among other items. It also has a craft loft with specialty gifts and housewares and foods from around the world.

The use of brochure printing is one way that these farms can inform customers of their respective offerings with additional information on seasonal products, prices and hours.
