Fair Lawn to develop new apartment and retail complex

A luxury apartment complex of 165 units is being proposed at the Deals Property in Fair Lawn.

The parcel of land is next to the train station and across the street from the clock tower building.

Danbro Properties will be in charge of the project, which will have a structure three stories in height with retail and commercial space on the first floor spanning 12,000 square feet. A garage below ground will provide parking for the complex. Such development companies often provide more details about their projects with brochure printing.

The apartment units will consist of studios, one-bedroom units (some with a den, some without), and two-bedroom units, ranging in size from 575 square feet to 1,150 square feet. Stu Liebman, attorney for Danbro Properties, said that there would not be any units with three bedrooms so as to appeal to those without families and reduce the demand on the school district. The middle of the building will have an outdoor courtyard that will be enclosed by the retail establishments and the apartments. There will be cooking areas and a gazebo in the courtyard.

Liebman said that once the design is finalized, tenants can be solicited for the retail part of the complex. The project will take 18 months to build once there are approvals from appropriate boards.
