Fair Lawn theater scheduled fall season

The Old Library Theater in Fair Lawn has scheduled some exciting productions for fall.

The 170-seat theater is located at 10 10 20th Street, at the George Frey Center for the Arts and Recreation.

‘Bat Boy’ is scheduled to be performed on September 14 and 15 at 8:00 pm, and September 16 at 2:00 pm. This musical is directed by Matt Haines, who has directed several shows at OLT and performed in several shows.

Bat Boy is musical about a half boy, half bat creature found by the local sheriff in Hope Falls, West Virginia. He brings the creature to the vet and the boy is eventually accepted into the family, but the townspeople shun him when he tries to fit in.

‘Parade’ will be performed on October 12, 13, 19, and 20 at 8:00 pm, and October 14 and 21 at 2:00 pm. It will be directed by Amy Calzone., who has worked for many years as a choreographer and director.

The story is a serious drama about a man that lives in Georgia that is put on trial for the murder of a 13-year-old factory girl. A sensational trail makes him look guilty in the eyes of the public. He is framed by false testimony and bad press, but his wife and the governor defend him.
