A local gift card program is currently underway in Fair Lawn and is being sponsored by the Fair Lawn Economic Development Corporation (EDC). This program is designed to promote purchases at businesses in the borough.
Logo Design can be used by such small businesses to show their participation in programs.
President of the EDC, Abigail Katznelson, said that individuals can purchase gift cards of any amount from any business in which they are interested. Katznelson added that there is no limit as to the number of gift cards that can be purchased.
Katznelson also said that although the primary purpose of the EDC is to promote economic development in the borough through advising and consulting on new projects, the decision was made to use part of the operating budget to directly stimulate the economy of Fair Lawn. She commented that small businesses are essential to Fair Lawn’s economy, since many members of the board own small businesses and know how deeply purchasing habits have been affected by the current crisis. She expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to show Fair Lawn a concrete way in which the EDC can benefit the community.
This who purchase gift cards can redeem them through Friday, November 20 for the value of the card. After that time, gift cards can be redeemed for the amount paid for them.
