Nick Norcia, Superintendent of the Fair Lawn Public Schools, expressed his gratitude to Columbia Bank for their donation. The district is looking to enhance its STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) program at the high school to provide a solid foundation in these technical subjects that will prepare their students for college, as well as the many technical careers that are currently in demand.
President and CEO of Columbia Bank, Thomas Kemly, said that the bank is happy to support the high school as it looks to expand its STEM offerings. It is hoped that students will look more towards these subjects to further their education.
Paul Gorski, Principal of Fair Lawn High School, remarked about the two teachers, Mr. Mondadori and Mr. Metwally, who work with the students in these subjects, saying:
“They guide our students to learn by doing, and the results are amazing.”
He also expressed his gratitude to Columbia Bank for recognizing the STEAM program at the school and supporting the critical expression and thinking of the students.
The community can be informed of such donations and programs through poster printing companies and the displays they create to draw attention to them.
