Residents in Fair Lawn and the surrounding area are getting ready for the Fair Lawn River Road Family Fun Day. The event combines activities, entertainment, and shopping in a celebration of local families.
Hosted by the shops along the historic River Road shopping district, the fun day is open to any businesses, governmental, or civic organization that would like to join in. Every group is expected to provide a family centered activity, display, or entertainment. Business Forms for the different kinds of groups are available on the website.
Though the final line-up has yet to be announced, so far, the local police department has been confirmed. They will set up a booth giving out Promotional Products in the form of goody Bags as well as providing safety information for local residents. Garden State Dermatology will be on hand providing free skin screenings. This year will also see the return of Juggles the clown, who will make balloon animals and more. A newcomer this year will be the Detours, a blues band who will be performing on the stage just outside Smiles.
Family Fun Day will be held on June 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. along River Road and Broadway. Admission to the event is free to the public. Anyone looking for more information should visit the website.
