Diverse program awaits at Fair Lawn theater

The Old Library Theater in Fair Lawn has planned an exciting 2018 winter season of one-act plays, musicals, and dramas for theatergoers.

The Library Theater is a nonprofit theater organization located at 1010 20th Street. This is its 51st. season.

The Seventh Annual Once Act Play Festival will run tonight and tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. There will be five plays during the festival:

‘A Margin’ by David Susman is about a college student who questions her teacher’s notes on her college paper.

‘Split Decision’ by Kitty Dublin is about a divorced couple that seeks a friendly and easy separation.

‘Suggested Donation’ by Duncan Pflaster is about an experimental theater that drives one patron crazy.

‘The Callback’ by Leland Frankel is about an actress who flips when she is not called back to an audition.

Lastly, ‘The Quick Guide Start to Booting Your Man Bot’ by Phil Darg is about a woman who suffers problems with technology when looking for a mate.

Next month, ‘The Robber Bridegroom’ will be performed on February 16, 17, 23, and 24 at 8:00 pm, and February 18 and 25 at 2:00 pm. Directed by Alyse M. Neubert, it tells the story of a robber courting a rich girl, set in Mississippi. With an evil stepmother and dim-witted henchman, the story provides an adventurous ride.
