Residents of Fair Lawn are invited by the Fair Lawn Arts Council to submit a piece of artwork to honor the borough’s 100th anniversary.
Such Invitations are often made known throughout the community with poster printing. The goal of the Fair Lawn Arts Council is to promote the arts for all residents of the borough. All artwork submitted needs to be six inches by six inches and on paper, cardboard, canvas, or other similar materials.
Any type of medium will be accepted, such as paint, collage, ink, crayons, and markers. The subject matter of the artwork needs to be related to the borough’s anniversary and history, and be family friendly. Submissions must include the submitter’s name, email address, and title of the artwork. Only one submission per person can be made.
Artwork can be brought to Borough Hall or to the Fair Lawn Library throughout the month of February.
Artwork will be displayed on Sunday, March 3 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Fair Lawn Community Center on Kipp Street. At this event, attendees will also be able to create their own pieces of artwork. Art supplies will be provided.
The artwork will be part of a rotating exhibit that will also be displayed at the Fair Lawn Library, Borough Hall, and other locations throughout the borough.
