The John Alaimo Memorial Golf Outing, which is held every year, will take place later this month in Sparta at the Skyview Golf Club.
This event is run by the Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce and benefits scholarships for students at Fair Lawn High School and other charities of the Chamber. The Chamber is also looking for sponsorships at several levels. Such events and their fundraising efforts are often promoted throughout a community with poster printing.
Residents, friends, and members of the Chamber are welcome to participate in this outing. Registration will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The start of the outing will be at 12:30 p.m., with dinner and awards from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The cost for a complete package is $180 and includes lunch, fee for the course, a golf cart, a bag of swag, cocktails, dinner, and other raffle prizes. A fee if $75 applies for those who do not plan to play golf but want to attend the dinner with a cocktail hour and open bar.
John Alaimo was a founding member of the Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Fair Lawn Rotary Club. He was Fair Lawn Man of the Year in 1999 and sponsored many recreation sports teams in the town.
The outing will be held on Wednesday, August 17.
