A four-week mindfulness series is set to welcome guests in Englewood who are seeking natural ways to relieve chronic pain and improve their movement.
The Mindful Movement and Meditation for Chronic Pain series, which is part of the Rodgers Family Meditation Program, has opened registration to area residents who are ready to find a solution to anxiety and chronic pain. The instructors will provide patients with gentle yoga stretches and techniques to pair with mindfulness meditation practices.
The combination of the movement, guided practices, and breathwork will demonstrate to each enrollee the steps they can use to calm their nervous system in a supportive and welcoming environment. Organizers point to research that demonstrates yoga and mindfulness can improve sleep quality, reduce anxiety, and boost overall mental wellness.
Companies can use poster printing to catch the eyes of people in the community and share information that helps them explore opportunities and learn about local services. The in-person sessions will be held on four successive Thursdays, beginning on April 16th. Each session will last one hour. They will be led by Miranda Lee, a CYT and Meditation instructor at the Graf Center for Integrative Medicine.
The sessions will be held at the Englewood Hospital’s Berrie Room on the 5th floor. The first session is set for noon on Thursday, April 16th. Enrollment costs $25 per person online.
