The Birding in Troy Meadows event has been planned in the East Hanover area next month.
New Jersey Audubon organized and will host this event. New Jersey Audubon is a non-profit organization that runs wildlife centers and sanctuaries throughout the state. The Society offers many bird-related publications, events, and programs that focus on educating the public on the state’s wildlife and natural environment.
Dave Hall will be leading the Birding in Troy Meadows event. Troy Meadows is a vast, 3,100-acre freshwater marsh that is situated in three Morris County towns, including East Hanover, Parsippany-Troy Hills, and Hanover. Participants will have the opportunity to glimpse birds wintering in the area, including woodpeckers and sparrows. Hosts of similar outdoor events frequently use flyer printing to specify key event details and rules in writing for each participant.
Members of New Jersey Audubon can register for this event online at $10 per individual. Tickets for non-members are priced at $15 per person.
All participants must wear face masks and practice social distancing throughout the duration of the event. Those who take part in this outdoor birdwatching event are advised to bring footwear suitable for icy or muddy areas.
The Troy Meadows birding event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 9 in Parsippany-Troy Hills from 8:30 am to 11:00 am.
