East Hanover area nature talk explores world of squirrels

Next month, Friends of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township will host the Members Only New Year’s Party: Squirrels, Fight ‘Em or Feed ‘Em for any members in the Morristown or East Hanover areas interested in learning more about the nutty world of these rodents.

The Friends of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded in 1972. Originally intended as a headquarters for the Morris County Park Commission, it has grown into a central hub for horticultural appreciation and learning.

The event will be led by Jim Walker, owner of Wild Birds Unlimited in Denville. Walker has spent the past six years educating people about how to incorporate bird feeders into their backyards. In this talk, he will discuss squirrel ecology, including their habits, the challenges they give to backyard bird lovers, and how to either deter them or amuse them at bird feeders.

Educational seminars such as this will often present informative Brochures to attendees to facilitate their understanding of the event’s purpose. Organizers may seek out the professional brochure printing services of local Print shops that can help them Print advertising materials in bulk.

The squirrel talk is slated for Sunday, January 11 at 1:00 pm EST. It will be held at the Haggerty Education Center at 353 East Hanover Avenue, Morris Township, just a few miles from East Hanover.
