East Hanover Irish club celebrates prominent figure
Next month, the Women of Irish Heritage, Inc., will present the 52nd Annual Cocktail Party in East Hanover to honor the 2025 Irish Woman of the Year.
The Women of Irish Heritage, Inc. is a club focused on celebrating Irish heritage and strengthening community bonds. It was founded in 1973 by a group of 16 women devoted to promoting Irish culture, community, and friendship in Essex County. From then on, the organization has been an integral part of the community, overseeing everything from St. Patrick Day parades to the annual Irish Festival.
The 52nd Annual Cocktail Party will honor this year’s Irish Woman of the Year, Gwen Glazier, who served as the organization’s president for the last six years and has been involved in nearly every Irish event or festivity that can be found in the area. The cocktail party will feature an open bar, hot and cold buffet, and plenty of music and dancing.
