Summer concert series at Cranmore Mountain announced

North Conway residents will have the opportunity this summer to enjoy high-energy, world-class performers at a five-week series of summer concerts held at Cranmore Mountain’s Arts Jubilee.

Executive director of the non-profit musical series, Cindy Russell, told the Daily Sun that the events would be family-friendly in every way, no matter what someone’s specific musical tastes might be. She stated that each of the five concerts would have a specific theme. The series will no doubt be advertised with poster printing and other methods.

The series kicks off on July 17, as Ceili Rain’s Bog Halligan, Jr, performs with the Beatlemania Stage Show as Paul McCartney. The show will be hosted by Mark Johnson of WMWV 93.5.

On July 24, the series will welcome Don Campbell and his band as they pay tribute to Dan Fogelberg. Joining Don will be Tom Dyhrberg, who will be presenting Gordon Lightfoot favorites.

July 31 will bring the Jonathan Edwards Trio to the Arts Jubilee stage. Known for his hits ‘Sunshine’ and ‘Shanty’, he recently played to a sold out crowd at the Stone Mountain Arts Center.

On August 7, the traditional Pops Concert will be presented by the New England Society Orchestra, playing the music of Hollywood, followed by fireworks.

Roomful of Blues will finish out the series on August 14, presenting a combination of jump, swing, blues, R&B, and soul.

All concerts begin at 7:00 pm, with early concerts starting at 6:00 pm. For ticket prices, visit the MWV website.
