Fundraising hike returns to North Conway for 29th year

Hikers in and around North Conway will have an extra good reason to hit the local trails this September, as a fundraising expedition has announced its return.

The 29th Annual Jen’s Friend’s Climb Against Cancer will begin accepting online registration from interested runners, joggers, and hikers who want to participate in a traditional community event that supports a good cause. The hike will be the Jen’s Friend’s Cancer Foundation’s signature fundraiser for the year, with the proceeds benefitting local residents battling cancer.

The foundation, which is 100% volunteer-run, can benefit from using banner printing to help promote the event and to welcome hikers and other participants to the summit of Cranmore Mountain. After reaching the summit, guests are encouraged to join the festivities in a warm and community-driven atmosphere.

The party will feature live musical performances from local artists and bands, with summit dancers helping to bring the music to life further. A silent auction will also be held, giving attendees an opportunity to bid on and win rare and valuable items and experiences while raising more money for the cause. Lunch is also included with registration.

Hikers will meet at 239 Skimobile Road in North Conway for the fundraising adventure at 9.00 AM on Saturday, September 19th. The event is expected to end around 1.00 PM. Registration is open online.
