An immersive experience that explores Colonial Era music is coming to the North Conway area this summer, providing residents with a way to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday.
What a Glorious Crash They Made: Musick of New England’s Revolution, an exploration of the music of the American Revolution, is coming to neighboring Conway soon, with an acclaimed musical historian leading the way.
Richard Franklin Donohue, a music historian and tenor, will take the audience through the hymns and “New Songs” that came from the tumultuous period in the region’s history.
The experience will look at how those in New England kicked off the rebellion with the help of music. Other songs will look closely at how they expressed gratitude for their victories. Organizers can use brochure printing to share large amounts of information with attendees at such events, adding to the visitor experience.
Donohue will share his research and explain to attendees how composers spread the excitement of freedom. It is expected to be a mix of storytelling and performance that takes the audience back in time. History buffs and music lovers alike will likely want to attend.
The experience will be held at 15 Greenwood Avenue in nearby Conway, and is scheduled for Thursday, June 25th, at 6:00 PM. Interested parties can RSVP online for free.
