North Conway classes to introduce pottery wheel
Residents of North Conway who have always wanted to try their hand at the pottery wheel will be able to do so during a four-part class series planned for a local venue.
Jennie Blair will be offering an opportunity to learn the basics of creating pottery using a powered wheel, and the session has been designed so that it will be a good fit for the beginner. Everyone will be able to get some hands-on experience, and the sessions will take place Wednesday afternoons.
The first two workshops will offer an introduction to the art of throwing clay, and the attendees will find out how to create a variety of effects on their piece. The third will introduce techniques for trimming and cleaning the items, as well as handle techniques, and the final session will see the participants glaze their works. The classes will range from two to three hours in length, depending on the agenda.
Learning a new creative skill can be a lot of fun. A workshop like this offers an opportunity to do so, and company letterheads, waivers, instruction sheets, and packaging supplies may be required for such events.
The Pottery on the Wheel with Jennie Blair workshop series is set to begin on March 1st. It will be held at 2526 White Mountain Highway, North Conway.
