North Conway chosen to be home of new WMCC campus
North Conway has been chosen as the site for a new campus of White Mountain Community College (WMCC).
The institution, which is based in Berlin, is one of the seven different schools that make up the state’s community college system. According to admissions councilor Kristin Kebler Miller, this decision will make it easier for people in the local area to pursue their higher educational goals.
The new facility will be called North Conway Academic Center of White Mountains Community College, and will offer over 25 courses in its first semester of classes. Class sizes will be limited to 24 students. Its location will be in a 3,000-square-foot portion of a 6,000-foot building situated close to the TD Bank on Main Street.
Along with its classroom-based instruction, people will be able to take courses through the facility online. When they have completed their studies at the college, students will be able to transfer to other educational institutions both in the state and across the country.
The tuition costs at WMCC will be some of the least expensive in the entire state, which can make it a more affordable choice for some. Catalog printing companies can produce publication that give further information to those who may be considering taking classes at the facility.
Once renovations are complete, the new campus of the WMCC is expected to open its doors on August 29 of this year.
