North Conway bakers to rise for cupcake competition
Bakers will soon be throwing down in North Conway for what its organizers hope will be an epic battle of cupcake creation.
This will be the 11th year in which the Cupcake Battle has showcased the talents of area bakers. It will be held at the North Conway Community Center, and both professional and home-based culinary artists are encouraged to show off their skills to their friends and neighbors.
The competition, which must be registered for in advance, will have several categories to enter, and a winner will be chosen in each. The sweets will be prepared in an assortment of flavors, and will give the participants a chance to show off their artistic and culinary talents when they create their displays.
Each ticket holder for the day will be able to sample one cupcake from each of the contestants, and they will then be invited to cast their vote for their top cake. Awards will be presented to the winners, and these may boast a special graphic design that has been prepared just for the occasion. Tickets to attend the occasion are $12 each, and a request has been made to direct questions to valleypromotions@gmail.com.
