North Conway asked to support local food event
The ski season is right around the corner, and those who love gliding down the slopes can do a good turn for their neighbors in need.
King Pine at Purity Spring Resort will soon be kicking off the winter season, and to mark the occasion, it has made plans to host a food drive to benefit locals. This North Conway area hill will have its lift up and running, and everyone who takes part can enjoy the feeling that often goes along with helping others.
The organizers have asked everyone who plans on attending to bring along a generous donation of non-perishables, and contributions will also be accepted from the general public as well, even if they do not plan to ski. The collection box for these items will be set up close to the guest services desk at the resort, and it will remain in place throughout the weekend.
Hosting a food drive like this provides an easy way for people to give back to their community. Print shops can be counted on to aid in the activity by preparing making materials, signage and even printed paper donation bags that can be distributed ahead of the event.
King Pine at Purity Spring Resort will be opening a new ski season on December 18. More details about both the venue and the “food raiser” can be found on the venue’s website.
