North Conway asked to show some love to local animals in need
Many people in North Conway have pets who they consider to be members of the family. The community has been asked to extend that care and concern to animals in need in their local area by being part of an upcoming fundraising event.
The Conway Area Humane Society has organized its Walk for the Animals fundraiser, and it is hoping the day will be fun for everyone who participates. The monies raised will be used to help provide medical care for the society’s charges, and it will also aid in helping to find them each a loving home to call their own.
The plans for the day include a walk as well as games, food, and a vendor area. The participants can walk on their own, as a family or part of a team, and to thank those who participate, the planners have created a T-shirt with a special graphic design that will be given out to those who take part in the event.
The fee to register for the walk is $30, but this will be waived for anyone who raises more than $100. This fee includes the T-shirt and activities, and prizes will be awarded to the team that is able to raise the most funds for the cause.
Whitaker Woods Homesite will be serving as the venue for the Walk for the Animals fundraising day. It has been scheduled for September 21.
