New brew pub in the pipeline
Sea Dog Brewing Company has confirmed that it is set to open its first brew pub in New Hampshire, right here in North Conway.
The Maine-based microbrewery has won several awards with its handcrafted beer, and currently has three company locations in Maine, as well as two in Florida. The pub plans to open before 2014 is out.
Set to move in at the Red Barn Outlet Center, The Conway Planning Board approved the project on April 10, but did not reveal the identity of the planned brew pub operators until the start of this month. The location will include a restaurant with 239 seats, and a pub with 21 seats. A walk-in cooler and infrastructure associated with the brewery will also be included as an addition behind the bar.
Jim Kaplan, representing the shopping center, says that the goal of the renovations is not to hide the barn’s individual characters, but to accentuate and build upon them. Construction is expected to begin imminently. All Red Barn Shopping Center businesses will still be open during the process, according to the Conway Daily Sun.
Sea Dog is owned by Fred Forsley, a Maine native who also owns the Shipyard Brewing Company. All Sea Dog beers will be available on tap, and visitors can choose from a range of wines.
When adding a location, some companies choose to update their marketing materials with their print company.
