All aboard for the North Pole on the Conway Scenic Railroad
The winter holidays are on the way, and to help celebrate, North Conway’s Conway Scenic Railroad will be once again hosting special trips to the ‘North Pole’.
The railway’s Journey to the North Pole has been set up to offer something to both the young and the young at heart. It will travel for two hours through the White Mountains to its destination in Santa’s Workshop. Hot chocolate and other treats will be served during the ride, and upon arrival, the passengers will be escorted by Santa’s elves to the North Pole Theater. One there, the they will be treated to a reading of ‘The Night Before Christmas’, and will even be able to spend some time with the big guy himself.
On the walk to the theater, kids can drop off their letters to Santa and watch some of his helpers busily making toys in his workshop. Each child will also receive a special gift on the trip back to the departure station. A printer can use graphic design to create decorations and other items for this type of event.
In addition to providing a family outing, Journey to the North Pole serves as a fundraiser for the not-for-profit group Believe in Books Literacy Foundation.
The special trips will take place starting on the weekend of November 18 and 19, and will continue until December 22 and 23. Further details can be obtained on the Conway Scenic Railroad’s website.
