Women learn self-defense in Omaha

A women-focused self-defense seminar will take place in Omaha this July. It is being organized by Faith Suh and led by Mon Cherie Faith.

The seminar will offer practical tools for personal protection and increased awareness. It is designed to equip attendees with hands-on techniques, expert insights, and community support.

The event will feature instruction from Cynthia St. Amour, a certified SABRE Master Instructor and Chief Executive Officer of Lifeline Training. There will also be a presentation on human trafficking prevention by Stephanie Olson, who is the Chief Executive Officer of The Set Me Free Project. The program aims to strengthen participants' ability to recognize and respond to threats in real-world situations.

The two-and-a-half-hour session will include interactive exercises, a focus on situational awareness, and discussions on violence prevention. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase personal safety products and will be provided with dinner on-site. Music and light movement are also planned to foster a supportive and energetic atmosphere.

The event is open to women of all experience levels.

Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian or parent. General admission is priced at $15 per person, including sales tax. Refunds are available up to one week before the event.

To reach more people who may be interested in events such as this one, organizers may advertise to the community through poster printing.

The Cherie Self Defense Workshop will be held on Saturday, July 26th from 5 pm to 7:30 pm at Luli Creative House, 1901 Howard St, Suite 401, Omaha, Nebraska.
