Freedomtainment brings music fest to Omaha

Omaha’s Gene Leahy Mall will host Unity Fest 2025 this month. The celebration is designed to connect communities through music and cultural expression.

Presented by Freedomtainment and Casa de la Cultura – South Omaha, the event will feature live performances from national and local talent.

Five-time GRAMMY recipient CeeLo Green will headline the evening with a live set that blends hip hop, soul, and R&B. Known for hits such as “Crazy” and “Forget You,” Green’s performance will cap a night of diverse entertainment. Hosting duties will be handled by poet and educator Felicia Casher, aka Withlove.

Supporting acts will include jazz saxophonist and community advocate Chad Stoner, whose ensemble brings a soulful, message-driven style, Marcos Eduardo’s Latino Music Explosion, which will showcase Latin rhythms such as bachata, cumbia, and norteño, and R&B/soul group Enjoli & Timeless, which is fronted by vocalist Enjoli Mitchell, known locally as “The Voice of the Street.”

There is free admission for all ages, though tickets must be reserved in advance through the official event listing. Paid parking will be available near the venue.

Professional flyer printing may be used to boost community engagement and ensure details reach a wider audience for events such as this one.

The festival takes place on Saturday, August 30th, from 7 to 11 pm at Gene Leahy Mall at The RiverFront, 1001 Douglas St, Omaha, Nebraska. Doors will open at 5 pm.
