Krampus Ball returns to Omaha

The historic Joslyn Castle & Gardens will host its annual Krampus Ball, offering an alternative winter celebration centered on characters drawn from colder-season legends.

Guests are encouraged to arrive in imaginative attire inspired by figures such as Krampus, La Befana, Frau Perchta, Mari Lwyd, GrĂ½la, Belsnickel, and the Yule Lads. Attendees may enter a costume competition in which the winner is selected by audience vote. The winner will be disclosed at midnight.

The venue will open its doors at 9 pm, giving visitors access to decorated halls, themed activities, and roaming entertainment. The evening includes a photo booth and short tarot readings. A dance floor will also be present; it will be led by DJ Cemetery Gates, who will play a mix of post-punk, goth, darkwave, new wave, synth, and alternative tracks. A curated art exhibition on the third floor, assembled by Matthew Owens, will showcase work influenced by winter folklore.

Admission is limited to adults 21 and older, with ID checks at entry. A coat closet will be available. However, guests should note that they are responsible for their personal belongings. Advance online tickets are priced at $35, increasing to $45 at the entrance if space remains.

Organizers may use poster printing as an effective way for community members to help spread awareness about events such as this one.

The date and time of this anticipated ball will be December 6th from 9 pm to 1 am at Joslyn Castle & Gardens, 3902 Davenport St, Omaha, Nebraska.
