‘Football for the World’ and ‘Big Grove Brewery & Taproom – Omaha’ are partnering for a community soccer event that will combine athletic competition, charitable giving, and a public viewing of a 2026 World Cup match.
The gathering will feature a street-style tournament followed by an outdoor screening of the United States men’s national team facing Paraguay.
Organizers state that the competition will include both co-ed and men’s divisions, with teams limited to four players. Individuals without a complete roster may register and be assigned to a group before play begins. Tournament proceeds will benefit Football for the World.
Registration for individual participants in either division is priced at $35.06. Each player registration includes one complimentary beverage and a jersey. Team entries are available for $100 per group, which equals a maximum cost of $25 per player for a four-person roster. Interested individuals should note that participants must wear indoor or street shoes during the competition.
In addition to tournament play, attendees are encouraged to donate gently worn soccer gear through a collection drive taking place ahead of the event. Community gatherings of this scale often rely on poster printing to attract local participation and increase awareness for events like this one.
The soccer tournament and World Cup viewing event will take place Friday, June 12th, from 5 pm to 10 pm at the Omaha at Big Grove Brewery & Taproom - Omaha, 4601 Catalyst Court, Omaha, Nebraska. Check-in begins at 4:45 pm, tournament matches start at 5 pm, and the USA-Paraguay watch party begins at 8 pm.
