Omaha launches first Nonprofit Board Match Event
Omaha’s nonprofit community will converge for a unique networking opportunity this October, designed to connect aspiring and experienced board members with local organizations seeking leadership support.
The inaugural Nonprofit Board Match Event promises targeted interactions aimed at fostering long-term community impact.
The event will feature over 30 nonprofits alongside more than 150 local professionals, offering structured speed-networking sessions to explore board opportunities. Attendees will complete a pre-event form to ensure alignment with organizations that match their interests and expertise. Nonprofits will also submit information detailing desired candidate qualities and current board needs, creating a curated experience for both parties.
Participants will engage in conversations intended to strengthen local leadership and promote strategic community involvement. Registration guarantees attendees heavy hors d’oeuvres and one complimentary drink, with a cash bar available for additional refreshments. Event organizers emphasized that space is limited and advanced registration is recommended.
Ticketing is structured to accommodate both prospective board members and nonprofit representatives. Individual attendee tickets are priced at $39.19, including fees, while nonprofit organization tickets cost $160.83, also including applicable fees. Registration closes on the day of the event.
The use of flyer printing remains a practical approach for reaching neighborhood participants and promoting events such as this one.
The event runs from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Thursday, October 2 at the Field Club of Omaha, 3615 Woolworth Avenue.
