Rose Theater opens exciting childrens winter productions

The Rose Theater in Omaha has several exciting theater productions scheduled for the winter season with drama, adventure, and fantasy.

Return to Niobrara will be performed from January 25 to February 10. It is for children ages eight and up. It is a drama about a young Indian boy named Steven who must stand up for his rights and identity at school. It was written by Mary Kathryn Nagle.

Thumbelina will be performed February 9 to March 3. It is the story of a girl the size of a thumb who goes on an adventure to find the meaning of friendship. This show is for kids aged two and up.

The Dollmaker Gift will be performed from February 22 to March 10. It is about a young Russian Jewish girl left behind with a doll maker while her family flees to America. It takes place during the time of attacks on Jews in Russia during the 1900s. The story focuses on hope and overcoming obstacles. This show is for ages eight and up.

Winne The Pooh will be performed from March 22 to April 7. It is story about a bear that searches for honey, plays with his friends, and meets a frightening new animal - a kangaroo.
