Omaha workshop to prepared seeded papers

Omaha is proud to be home to a world class botanical garden, and this venue recently announced it will be providing the public with an opportunity to be part of a hands-on workshop.

The registrants in Lauritzen Gardens Homemade Stationery class will discover how to make special seed papers using various materials, including botanical materials. Both members and non-members alike are welcome to sign up, and a discount will be offered to those who are members of Lauritzen Gardens.

Those who sign up will be making seed-infused papers by hand, and they can use the finished products for notes, greeting cards, or to give to a friend. While most papers may be recycled, these seed papers may actually be planted outdoors for a pop-up garden. When they head home, each of the attendees will have learned what materials are best for making handmade paper, as well as how to utilize a sheet framing technique known as European style.

Offering public workshops is one way a venue can connect with its wider community. Poster printing and other marketing services that can promote an event like this may be sourced from local Print shops.

This chance to learn how to prepare pretty seeded papers from scratch is set for December 12th. It will begin at 9:00am at the Gardens, and it will continue on until 11:00am. The fee for the session starts at $30.00.
