Whether it is a phalaenopsis purchased at a grocery store or a rare exotic, many people are fascinated by orchids, and a special event will soon showcase these popular tropical plants.
The Greater Omaha Orchid Society has plans in the works for its annual show and sale, and both local and national level vendors will be on site with specimens on offer. Both ground dwelling and epiphytic species will be included, and it will also be a time for orchidophiles to meet and share their knowledge with other experts, as well as those who are just getting started.
Along with the sale, the attendees will be able to view and enjoy an assortment of floral displays, and they will also have a chance to brush up on their orchid care. Pest control, creating a proper potting medium, and other cultural issues will be addressed, and everyone can ask questions.
Admission to the activity is free for Society members and $10 for the general public. Poster printing companies often prove to be helpful partners when it comes to promoting local, grass-level events to the surrounding community.
The Greater Omaha Orchid Society explained that it is pleased to bring back its show and sale, and it has been scheduled for April 2 and April 3 at Lauritzen Gardens. It will be open from 10:00am until 4:00pm on both days.
