Star Wars fans from Omaha and further afield will soon have a movie theater that has been designed with a theme they are sure to appreciate.
The cinema, which is operated by Alamo Drafthouse, has taken the look and feel of the movie series to heart. The concession area, lobby, and even the architecture itself was created using design elements from the movies, giving it a futuristic look and feel.
In a statement released by the Alamo Omaha team, it was noted that they had wanted to create something that would make them unique, not only in their own home market, but also in the whole of the Midwest. Bearing that in mind, they decided to go with the Star Wars theme and give moviegoers an opportunity to totally immerse themselves in the experience.
The statement further went on to say that it was a fortunate coincidence that this coincided with the upcoming release of the movie. It will be permanent, and will remain even after this particular volume of the franchise has competed its run in theaters. The upcoming motion picture, ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, is scheduled to open on December 18.
